Today, contemporary design can contribute to the defence and regeneration of democracy. The round table discussions will touch on this possibilities by focusing on the idea of a design democracy, understood as a regenerated democracy from the variety and dynamism of projects that take place in it, the expert designs of which can contribute in many ways. Turin Design of the City and WDO would like to contribute a Stand UP for Democracy: an international initiative aimed at catalyzing design resources towards this issue. In the inauguration, DDP – Democracy and Design Platform will also be presented and which is a digital support and coordination between design and democracy. DDP was created and managed by 3 workshops of the Department of Design of the Polytechnic of Milan (Design Policy Lab, Density Design Lab and DESIS Lab).
