Torino takes part to Madrid Design Festival 2020 as a guest of honour. We want to take this opportunity let Madrid and the Spanish public know about the design excellences of the city, as well as the meaning that design has for Torino today).
Thanks to the collaboration of the Italian Embassy in Madrid, by participating in the Madrid Design Festival we want to talk about how our city uses design not only to create objects, but also to create services useful for the production chain and for the economic dimension of our territory. A territory that continues to stand out in this sector, with absolute excellences and innovations, and as a tool to design services for and with citizens, who are not only users but also protagonists
This is the aim of our program. Through an exhibition, MARCA, and two chora lectures (on 13th and 15th February at COAM)with the leaders of Torino design we talk about the state of art of design in Torino.
For us design is not just a work method to build and stimulate relationships, collaborations and synergies at a local, national and international level; it is also intelligence, passion and love.
Torino Design of the City – International Initiatives is a project of the City of Torino, with the support of Fondazione CRT, Compagnia di San Paolo, Torino Chamber of Commerce, Polytechnic of Torino, University of Torino, realized with Turismo Torino e Provincia in collaboration with the Design Consultative Board.
